Eric Raslich is a Michigan native who joined the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary education staff in 2015. He coordinates the Blue Star Fishing Guide Program and Team OCEAN. Previously, he worked as a mate, captain, and fishing program commissioner with the Brinton Environmental Center, a Boy Scout National High Adventure Base on Summerland Key, Florida. Raslich has also held various industry jobs in local dive shops, tackle shops, and with commercial dive boat operations. Eric attended Michigan State University earning a bachelor's in zoology with specializations in natural resources recreation and marine ecosystems management. Raslich is an avid fisherman who enjoys pursuing all sorts of game fish in the waters surrounding the Florida Keys. He currently holds a US Coast Guard OUPV license and is an Eagle Scout.
