Upper Harbor Key Wildlife Management Area
Upper Harbor Key is a mangrove island approximately 22 miles northwest of Marathon that is surrounded by flats but is accessible at high tide.
It is a premier area for wading birds. The island is used by various bird species including ospreys, frigatebirds, double-crested cormorants, and wading birds.
A 300-foot no-access buffer zone surrounds the island.
