Kristina Agard
Eco Discovery Center Manager
Let's learn about the Eco Discovery Center manager, Kristina Agard! Kristina grew up on Long Island Sound in southeastern Connecticut. During her summers she attended marine science camps and made spectacular use of her family's annual membership to the Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in marine biology from the University of New Hampshire, she came to the Keys in 2010 to intern at Seacamp on Big Pine Key where she fell in love with the ecosystem. She was asked back to serve as the intern coordinator and summer science program director until 2015. After her tenure at Seacamp, Agard helped build the Education Department at the Key West Aquarium, including the introduction of their Local Sunday Celebrations. Kristina loves being on the water, and in her free time paddleboards through the mangroves and enjoys scuba diving with her husband and showing her daughter the beauty of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
