Grace Hanson works as the Mission: Iconic Reef Data Manager, collaborating with the entire team to develop data management strategies and protocols. Prior to joining the team, she managed an offshore coral nursery and led reef restoration projects at Nova Southeastern University. During her time there she investigated methods to rear juvenile corals in the offshore nursery and measured their performance when outplanted to the reef. She also participated in coral reef and fish surveys throughout South Florida. In addition to her marine biology experience, she has built and managed databases and secured data throughout her career. Hanson holds a B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island where she first fell in love with coral reefs during an internship in the British Virgin Islands. She also earned an M.P.S. from Nova Southeastern University. Hanson is excited to merge her tech and coral reef experience to manage the Mission: Iconic Reefs data and further the ambitious program goals.
