Eddie Kertis

Edward Kertis served with distinction as Commander of two U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) districts and one division, with assignments in Walla Walla, Washington; Savannah, Georgia; Honolulu (Pacific Rim); and Afghanistan. In these roles, he led thousands of federal civilian employees and military personnel overseeing complex water resources infrastructure, anadromous fisheries programs, hydropower operations, environmental regulatory programs, and large-scale construction efforts across seven U.S. states and internationally in Japan, Korea, and India. While deployed to Afghanistan, he managed a $12 billion construction portfolio supporting critical infrastructure development.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kertis worked in close coordination with members of Congress, 15 federally recognized Tribes, state and local government officials, media, and non-governmental organizations. Following his retirement from the U.S. Army, he served as a business development advisor to CEOs and senior corporate sales executives, and contributed as an instructor, coach, and mentor within a corporate leadership development program. Most recently, he served as the alternate seat representing tourism as a member of the NOAA Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council from 2023 to 2025.
