The Florida Keys suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Irma that has prevented residents and business owners from returning to the area. As a result, Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary offices are closed for the time being.

Once power, water and medical services are restored to the Lower Keys and Key West, and residents are allowed to return, sanctuary staff will begin assessing damage to property and natural resources and possible mitigation options. We will work with our longstanding partners on potential restoration efforts.
