Eastern Sambo Special Use Area
Eastern Sambo Special Use Area is a spur-and-groove bank reef with healthy coral formations. It is closed to entry and clearly identified by 30-inch round yellow buoys clearly marked with "Research Only." By limiting this and other sites to research only, scientists will be able to differentiate impacts caused by resource use and those caused by changing environmental conditions.
