Lower Harbor Keys Wildlife Management Area
These mangrove islands are approximately 7.5 miles northeast of Key West, are dissected by tidal creeks and lack dry land. Most of the islands are accessible by navigable channels, some of which have idle speed/no wake zones. The islands contain nesting great white herons (Ardea herodias occidentalis), double-crested cormorants (Phalacrocorax auritus), osprey (Pandion haliaetus), and a variety of other wading birds.
